Reporting on Everything
Built-in Report Templates
VolunteerMatters provides a comprehensive suite of report templates surrounding volunteering, contact information, interactions, placements, status changes, and requirements. You may customize the settings on these templates to create custom reporting combinations. Report outputs include Excel, CSV, MS Word, PDF, and HTML.
Modify and Memorize Reports
When running any of the built-in templates you always have the option of modifying the report in some way. On almost all reports you can narrow “who” should be included in the report. For example, when running a volunteer history report, you could narrow the report to only include contacts affiliated with a particular company. You can also often decide “what” should be included in the report. For example, you could narrow the same report to only include volunteer hours for an annual golf charity event. When you complete your refinements and submit the report for processing, the system recognizes the changes and asks you if you would like to memorize that report for future use. Now you have a custom report showing ‘all hours worked by employees of ABC Company at the annual charity golf event’. You can see how a single report template can yield many, useful reports that can adapt to your needs.
Create Your Own Report Templates
VolunteerMatters integrates with Jasper Reports to develop custom report templates against documented data-sources. If you have your own report writer you may create new templates of your very own. Or would like us to develop a new report template for you we have a professional services team that would be happy to do so at an affordable hourly rate.
Quick Report on Contact Data from List
When viewing your contact database you can define multiple list views on your database. For each view you can customize which records should be included, what column headings should be listed and in what order, and what the sort order of the list should be. For example, you can have views on ‘active volunteers’, ‘archived contacts’, ‘recent volunteer applicants’, ‘holiday card list’ – grouping records by values they may share in any built-in or custom contact field. You use these views quite often as you navigate the system. There is a very handy option to perform a quick one-click export of any contact list data to CSV or Excel formats.
