*VolunteerMatters provides a comprehensive suite of report templates surrounding contact and biographical information, interactions, contact status, volunteering, committee placements, status changes, requirements, and giving. You may customize the settings on these templates to create nearly limitless reporting combinations. You may run, memorize, and download reports as often as you would like and as many times as you would like. There are several types of settings you can set on reports to make them your own.

Field Filters
You can set filters based on the type of activity against which you are reporting.  For example, if this were one of the volunteer reports, you could set a filter on the report based on the type of volunteering, date of the volunteer shift, start time, end time, etc.  If you are working with a committee placement report you can set a field filter to include a specific committee, type of seat, date range the positions were held, etc.

Contact Filters
All reports include the option of applying a filter to include a subset of your members, supports, volunteers, or staff.  You can create complex database queries with absolutely no technical experience whatsoever.  *VolunteerMatters makes it very intuitive to narrow your results to the exact contacts you would like included in your report.  Our tools allow your administrators to create natural language AND and OR searches.  For example, you may easily create a filter based on the following criteria:

Filter on contacts who's…
1.    Status is active
AND
2.    Birth date is between 1/1/1960 and 12/31/1969
AND
3.    Interests include Yoga

You can filter contacts by any contact or biographical data.  You may filter contacts based on name, address, telephone number, email, birth date, ID, skills, interests, status, current committee placements, as well as any custom field. 

Report Fields
In certain report templates you may change the labels of the fields included in the report. Other reports allow you to activate (include) or deactivate (exclude) a particular field for that report.  Other reports also allow you to re-order the display of the fields by allowing you to change the display order number for the field.

The power of this reporting module is that a single report type can yield any number of of useful, custom reports.
